I'm having problem with the rule system. I have made a page for the rules theswiftuniverse.proboards.com/page/rules and did the button like you said but it did nothing.

You have yootil installed and it is above your rules code? I recommend just having yootil at the very top.

I just went to your forum and clicked the accept button and it alerted me that I had accepted. Now I can't post as a guest anyway so I can't see if the memory is updating properly, but that part seemed to work...

I am also having troubles I think, I have installed the plugin and it's running when a new user joins they are directed to that page and forced to accept the rules before they join however current users are unaffected, is this by design and I am just reading this wrong or should everyone have to accept it before they can post?

new-dollwizard.proboards.com also I found out this morning there were more issues. Some users were unable to accept the rules and so unable to post so I have temporarily disabled the plugin however this didn't appear when I first enabled the plugin.

Sounds like you don't have yootil installed...did you install yootil and put it ABOVE this plugin?

Yes I did, I made sure of this as it was quite clear in your instructions on the first page  and so we are on the same page by above you mean in the list of plugins Yootil must be listed before reading from top to bottom Lion Rules yes?

Yes, I recommend dragging yootil to the top and leaving it there. Yootil shouldn't conflict with any codes you have, but it helps some codes now and will be helping a lot more in the future. If the codes load before and call a piece of code called let's say "joe" then if that code is defined in yootil it will be calling "joe" which doesn't exist yet...get what i mean? Currently it sounds like the part of the code that relies on yootil doesn't seem to be functioning so make sure yootil is at the top of your plugins

Ok Yootil has been moved to the top and Lion Rules has been reenabled fingers crossed this is all good ^^

nvm it was my fault capitalisation issue, it was trying to redirect to rules where the page was actually Rules thanks for your help Thesealion

Just confirmed it with my test account, the link to the rules works and once accepted it redirects to the home page with a popup dialogue box advising I can now post . Great idea with this addon we have been looking for something like this after having several users complaining they don't know the rules when they were banned so this leaves no excuses.
