When creating the custom page there is an option to insert an HTML box. If you do that you can then design your own rule page. This code does not build the page for you as many people will want to customize their page to fit their forum. It is very simple to create the HTML to look like my example (the example took me about 2 minutes when I did it). I am sorry, but this plugin does require some HTML knowledge (Although if you plan on doing any extensive modifications to your forum I recommend learning a bit about HTML. I learned from http://www.w3schools.com). I do not have time to create an HTML page for you. If you need someone to create you a page, you can ask on one of the code request boards. They may be able to help you there.
To create the I Agree button all you have to do is copy paste from my post this html "<a href="/forum/lionrules"><button>Accept Rules!</button></a>" that will create the button.

@ Thesealion I do thank you for your work, I know how time consuming it is @ Michael Stone He fixed it for me, in your directions it ask for ID rules on one line, it doesn't say that must be the exact wording, I had put in Racin Rules. Your directions need to be a little more precise. Now on the HTML box, I created a Custom Page with no problems. I was asking how to get the HTML box, Maybe I'm the one being dense here. I see the HTML tab but not the option for a HTML box. Can some one guide me? I can fill the box in once I get to it

Butch is your page blank? Or are there "zone" boxes? If blank, no zone boxes click on that html tab then double click on zone 1 on the right side. You should now see a [zone 1] in the html layout on the left. Go back to the visual editor See the zone now? Hover over the zone and click settings. Then click add widget Html box You just installed an html box. Now you can add content to the html box and add a title bar and container around it to match your forum. I hope this helps some.

I have this all set to go except for one thing...do we use both the code <span id="lionbutton"></span> from the plug ins about tab and this one <a href="/forum/lionrules"><button>Accept Rules!</button></a> from page 1? or just the one in the about tab as it appears to span the top of the title bar?
Do the previous posts of current members dissapear if they have not clicked accept, meaning is my forum going to go blank until everyone accepts the rules? if so do they come back after?

Use whichever one is on page one. I think I forgot to change it in the code...sorry No posts dissapear, this code simply prevents people from posting who have not agreed to the rules. It will not work on the iPhone app though...

Does the pop up "thank you for accepting the rules" pop up every time a member logs in? No way to do away with that after the first appearance?

No, it should only pop up after the user actually accepts the rules...

Once I got mine worked out, it only shows up the one time as it should, never to be seen again I created an extra account that is just a regular member, that I can keep removing and rejoining to test this till I got it right. And with this account I can log in to see what things looks like to regular members. I never get the HTML box like I wanted, maybe I'm using wrong terminology for what I wanted, but very pleased with how it turned out. It looks great

Hello ThesealionJust noticed yesterday when making sure everything is working as should and noticed that I'am seeing this after clicking "Accepting Rules": One great plugin and have been using it for a long time. The version I have is 2.2.0 and here is the site I have it installed on: linkClick on Reply herewhen you have the time and see if you get that error image popping up.

aRMY83 I think I found the reason, If you are Logged Out and click the Button, I get that same error, but if you are logged in or registering it will work as it should On your site I looked at the rules but did not see an I Agree button, but I May after being approved. I was interested in joining your site already. I registered with the username butch but will change the Display name to YLstang/Butch

Hello BütchThanks much for your input here and just approved your account. If my memory serves me correct, you will see that button once you try and create a post on my site. Give it a go and see what happens.
