Go To Board After Move Thread

i had a code made for this because im always putting threads in the wrong boards while not paying attention then i need to go to that board to recopy the url ive posted somewhere on the internet

theres the pop up to choose if you want to leave a message or PM the author

im requesting to add an option to that pop up or another pop up after the first

Go To The Board You Just Moved The Thread To

and/or

Go To The Thread You Just Moved

i havent looked at how the Move Posts works but if you move some posts, have the option to go to that board or thread too

I'm sure the last thread i moved took me to the board i moved it to, give it a try.
The thing i often forget is to check the leave message, so i then have to separately PM after moving
Maybe that should already be checked as the message can be deleted easily later.

i did move a thread from the board list rite before i made this thread, i tried it again and it just moves the thread and stays in the same board

ive never moved posts before, it never worked on 4.5 for me. i tried in v5 just now and yes it did move me to the board i moved it to but it left me in the same thread

i wasnt trying to make any point but now that ive seen it, ive already been in this thread or post, it takes you rite to the same thread

maybe while your choosing to Create a new thread or Merge into existing thread and PM have one more option to Select a board where you want to be redirected after you hit move post

but i only move threads from the board list, im sure others do too. just like for the move posts, when youre choosing Leave a "This thread has moved" message and Send a PM to the topic creator, have the same thing

We put a lot of work and effort into deciding where everything should take you when you perform an action. For right now we are satisfied with how everything is working. Things like moving threads and posts are complex. In most cases you are taken to where something is moved. However, there are certain circumstances where we felt it was best to keep you where you are. This is for a variety of reasons including the choices you make when moving things (as well as how you moved them, from the board or from inside the thread itself, etc).

We will take note of your request and we will consider your opinion as well, when we consider any changes in the future.
