...I can't remember what it's called, but the menu where "switch account", "switch forum" are.

Can we have an option in the admin area to enable/disable skin selection from that, please?

Can you elaborate on this please. It sounds like you want us to add a skin changing option to the ProBoards bar in the bottom right?

Would this be an icon? Where would it take you? Your Profile settings page?

Or is it something else? I'm leaning towards a plugin being the solution to this even though I'm not completely clear on the request.

I'm sure you're familiar with other providers, and they have on the global pages, a dropdown for their skins, you select said skin.
It'd be like going to your profile to select a skin, but much quicker.

This wouldn't be a dropdown in there, because of course that would look ugly, but as you mentioned, an icon, which when pressed would reveal all forum skin/theme options you have available to choose from.

We'll discuss this. However for now you should find a forum side way to do this with a plugin.
