Hide a specific thread from member's sight

I would like the ability for members to hide any specific thread from their sight.

Yes, I know it is silly, but we have an international group with madly differing ideas of what is acceptable. 

Most of us ignore a thread that we know will upset us, but a handful of people react strongly to particular words in titles and conversations and don't want to see them.  They don't want to block everything the other member says, just that one topic.  And the topic may be their personal peeve that doesn't bother anyone else, so we can't used censored words.

Could we build a plugin that would allow a member to select the thread and hide that one thread?

Yes, I'm using modified templates, most fairly modest.

Forum wrapper: Added space to the top for a border around the banner.  Also added a large text reminder that posts are not permanent under the navigation bar.

Home: Added an inline frame to the Info Center to give the number of chatters in AddonChat

Board list: Hid the word "Board" from the category headings and the phrase "No posts have been made on this board" with comment tags.

User profile: Used Shrike's template modification to hide user profiles from Guests.

Miniprofile: Used pawl's template modification to add a PM link to the miniprofile.

Shoutbox-Individual Posts: Used Xikeon's template modification to insert users' avatars in the shoutbox (if I need to enable it).

The problem that has me stuck right now is being discussed here: support.proboards.com/thread/434802/members-list-ajax-help?scrollTo=5061098&page=2

Until PB helps us out, there isn't a truly easy and efficient way to support multiple pages. (And as Peter stated there, that might be a little bit. )

I'll take a swing and finishing the rest of what I was working on for it soon. I was busy this week with final projects.

I understand.  ProBoards' priority is bug squashing right now.  Understandably so.  They want to get v5 launched within the next few weeks.

Between school and the hubbub of the holidays, this is a busy time of the year for you as well!  Now that I have a better idea of where we stand (and why), I'll leave you alone.  I'll bookmark this thread and touch base in another month or thereabouts. 

If I change forum templates, I'll let you know here so you have it.

Just as an update, still waiting on that bug to be fixed. I've talked with Patrick about it, so it should be done sooner than later. (i.e. prior to v5 full release. )

I was wondering if this was finished or still being worked on?  Any newer updates?
