Once out of beta, will a plugin retain its data when a new version is updated?
I'm figuring it will, but had to ask.

How do you mean by retaining data?

I think he means that when you download a new version, will it still ahve all the inputs ? Or will they all need entering again. This is a pain at the moment for testing......

Right now the settings will not be retained, but I think they are working on something for this. VS Admin might be able to answer this better.

We are working on a system that will easily let you upgrade plugins. Our goal here will be to keep settings if they don't change between versions, but if the type of a setting changes, or the id changes, etc, that obviously won't copy across. When we get to this point, we'll do our best to make the process as easy as possible for upgrading plugins.

That's what I wanted to know, Patrick. Thanks.
