Where you go after posting?

Is it possible to change this? Personally I'm not a huge fan of being
dropped right back at the bottom of a thread where I've just posted....
especially as it tends to jump there slowly I have time to click the
link I want at the top of the page when it first reloads before it puts
me back at the bottom every time I've tried (just makes the whole
experience a bit juddery and slow). It's not even like you get put in
line with the post you replied to so you can see if you've been ninja'd
you have to scroll up.

Part of it is my own inadequacies in not
remembering the shortcut key to jump back up (I've put a back to top
button on our V5 beta...)

But I was wondering if I was being a
numpty and there was a way to change where you were dropped after
posting? Either site wide (in which case I'll poll my members) or on a
personal level?

Back up to the top like in V4 would be nice as
the navbar is there. Or even the homepage... but I guess the
possibilities become a bit endless...

Either as a profile setting individually or as a board.

The current functionality is to take you to your last unread post. This was actually widely requested. It follows in logic that you would read any posts you missed while composing your post. (or jumping back to where you left off if you replied in the middle of a long thread)

That being said we are also still in Beta. Not everything has been optimized. Your concern about the page jumping because of the delay after loading may be nullified completely in the future. If you weren't experiencing that, you probably wouldn't give a second thought to where you were landing.

For now we apologize for the delay in loading. In the future that will get better. Also for now we are going to maintain the current place you are taken. In the future it may be possible to grant a choice. Thank you.

I probably would because I'd still have to scroll all the way back to the top to go anywhere else. I actually like the lag because it allows me to get where I want to go next without scrolling (I know there's a shortcut but I really can't remember it)

Good to know however that if you did get ninja'd you'd go to that post rather than your own
