well the trend lately is to have plugins run on document.ready

if the document isnt ready, they dont run, and if an ad is stalling the document load for whatever reason there might be a delay. If I change it to run before document.ready, then if any content gets added after the plugin runs, then it wont smear.

can you just make me a copy without the document and at least the profile problem works, ill just keep that copy. i just use it for screennames

if the plugin runs before there IS a document, then NOTHING will be affected. document.ready ensures there is actually content on the page.

that version doesnt exist. document.ready had to be used in order to do pagination.

I can get you a version from before that pagination didnt work, but apparently neither did profiles.

for me it has a half second delay, but as I said, its waiting for document.ready()

its not working for me on the thread list or thread, i havent added any plugins. maybe some css the last couple days

The current version I'm using says that 'These Options wont affect this version' in the post tab of the plugin, and sure enough, the smear code does not work in thread posts. Our members use this code quite a lot in their posts, so we have a bunch of posts with broken codes now. Is there a plan to have a version in which the code is usable in posts again?

the options it refers to are the UBBC buttons in the tray and in the quick reply area. smear works in the posting area if you manually surround text with tags. I just dont have the process to add a new button to a tray.
