  You are looking at my v4.5! forum that is currently smeared with your old code.

It is my V5 Beta jenant.freemessageboards.com/   that it won't come up with display names  says "no results found" after ie whirly spun for a few seconds I even tried it on my Android and it did the same. Yet the box is there for names to be typed in but can't find name. I use IE7.

ok looking at the NEW link, when I look at the source, it shows that no usernames are attached to the smear.  were you trying to smear ALL usernames with the same smear?

You won't see any names in the color smear because the results says "NO names FOUND" everytime and it removes name I have typed. I put the name into the box, straight away it comes up with no results found everytime. Then I click DONE,  box goes away leaving no name behind but clicks onto another row below to place another name in doing the same useless sequence as before with nobodies name found again.
It is getting me stressed now so I am giving up on it, and thinking of not having it at all when I upgrade my main Ant Hill World.

I only have like 6 names belonging to staff with it on my current V4 board, not the whole board .


I also tried a board title to see if that worked. It color smeared the front part >> and the back part of title,<<
 neither of which should be there at all  I should only see each title of the board not the rubbish at either end, (don't know what else to call it

ok I see what you are talking about! and its not a bug with colorsmear, but rather something with the proboards software. on my test account, it can only find accounts that were made BEFORE the last upgrade occured. any newer account the search box doesnt find. I will bring this up in the bug reports.

the board titles failed because of the "<<" and ">>" you have in there. that symbol is used for html tags and I have it as part of the code to look for those symbols and extract out the html tags inside them. your confusing the code because its doesnt expect double brackets like that so its making your board title into a html tag. I cant write around that or it wont parse out html tags correctly. if you would have used a different character it would have parsed fine. so if you are sticking with that character, then board titles will never work for you, sorry.

many thanks for the info, as i plan to take those arrows out when i upgrade properly. It was the usernames that was my main concern. Glad really that it might be a software problem and i am not going mad

the part after the screenname is smeared, tunescool "Likes This." is there a way to disable that with css in the plugin

that part isnt smeared. its a solid color blue on your site. your smear starts at pink and ends in black.

according to your markup its all just plain text and hit by the "like" class to become blue. your smear color doesnt end in blue either.

I was curious if it was possible to have threads inherit the color choice of their parent board.

Yes. On another board I admin on, the board names are different colors, and when you enter the board, the threads are that same color.

Thanks, Wormo. She's currently using Color Thread or Event Titles by Rossel, and you have to manually add every one. Personally, I think that's a lot of work.
