I'm playing around with it as a possible plugin for my site, Wormopolis, and have found one glitch thus far. If the same member posts more than once in a thread, it appears to only show in their first post and simply isn't there in any of the others. alcryst.proboards.com/thread/222/mini-profile-demonstration The "Brady" account has several posts there with only the first showing up

No other problems thus far! ;D I really like it. Is there a class for designing it like the posting activity, or will there be in the future? I'd like to affect the title of it and width and such like I have the posting activity meters. I know this is your first draft so I'm sure you aren't worried about it right now, just submitting for future consideration

As it is now, I can't have it show up in only one of my tabs (yay for my fun tab problems!) so I have it below. I'd much prefer to have it in the bottom of only one of the tabs =) Just some more future consideration for this awesome plugin

EDIT: Ah, had another future request for it. Could their past achievements show up anywhere? Like.. It says they are 8% to the Rank 5, for example. Could it include Achieved: Rank 1, Rank 2, Rank 3, Rank 4 as an option somewhere, in the hover if there's room or anywhere else you see fit? If not that's fine but it'd help me out personally as I'm using this for stat upgrades

I THINK I uncovered another glitch. My account Brady has 145 posts and the next posting rank for the test values I have randomly thrown in there is 200. It's saying the account is 8% to its next goal. Dividing 145/200 is showing me 0.725 so shouldn't the percentage be 73%? Maybe the code just doesn't like triple-digit numbers, I dunno, but it does seem to have an error in that regard

The guest post actually killed it. I have to put in something to ignore those.

I also dont have pagination in there, so I have to add that in.

there will be classes, I just didnt worry about them on the first version so keep it simpler in development. same with custom placement.

the achieved ranks is possible, but it would run into the issue of sites with lots of ranks. title only get so many characters. it would cut off at a certain point and not show the intended piece of % to next rank.

the % wasnt calculated from total posts to next milestone, I set it up so it looks at previous milestone to next. so if your previous milestone was 140, you are 8% of the 60 posts you need for 200 (rounding happens).

that seemed to make more sense to me then postcount/milestone... should it be the other way?

What if it was the past 2 ranks? Or even just the past rank? Rather than all of them

Ahh, ohkay. Yeah, my brain assumed it was progress to the next level and went to that. 8% of the needed posts left.. hmm.. I think that does make most sense so I think you should keep it as-is

Wormopolis, I finally put my finger on what felt a bit weird about it. Alright! So right now it shows you the percentage of your progress to the next level but it doesn't give you a definite answer. So say I'm a member who sees my next posting rank is 40% progressed, I have 189 posts and let's say the next post count is 200. I first off do not know WHEN my target post count is unless the admin makes a thread letting me know, which not all admins might do since I'm thinking on the larger scope, and either way that still has to be looked up, and you don't know when your last post count achievement was. As it is, you know you're 40% there but you don't know how many actual posts you need to accomplish, at least the basic user won't get/know it. That makes it hard to be like "12 more posts to go, woohoo!" and such if you're kinda shooting in the dark waiting until you hit it.

So, maybe something in the title like...
Last Level: Level Name (400 Posts) Next Level: Level Name (500 Posts) Progress: 40% ??

I was looking for it to be more like a traditional RPG XP gauge designation; that is - given that I can already put the current post count in - I'd just want it to say "xxx to next" to indicate how many more posts the user needs to make to rank up.

Howboring. I like it as it is -pets plugin- it's purdy and fancy.

Just a note, you guys asked for this plugin for a long time, a quick thanks that Wormo took it up might be nice ;D

ok

the starter rank on my site is "Lurker" and once you post you become a "newbie"
the color font between the 2 is #FFFFFF & #339900

so right now its a meter --------------

what I was asking was the meter to take shape of the rank name instead

That'll become possible with later versions since this is the first one he's released simply to find out glitches and whatnot. ^^
