Are you requesting to link to a file, or to make it play when the post is viewed? The former should already be possible, and the latter is unlikely to be accepted as a feature, because it disallows the admin of the forum control over things like pages making noise.

Couldn't it be codded to where only a user has an option to start the audio file within the post? The same as when a video is posted only they have the option to start the video. |

At an earlier stage of v5 we had an audio player but it was removed.
Admins that choose to support audio files can do so on their own. There are too many issues with this feature (including legal ones) to list here. Just be aware that we will not be supporting direct audio hosting/embedding by default (or in BBCode).
