Everyone has their very own preferred colours for posting.
What if we had a way to "save" (Named: "+fave" in the attachment) a certain amount of our beloved colours, so we don't have to keep going back and finding them. No one can remember all the hex codes for colours they like. So here's a little solution.
This was just a quick idea I thought of, so I haven't got all the things figured out, but I will try think of what I can.
Plugin Manager Settings (Staff Only):
- How many favourites per line? (attachment: 6 per line)
- What size should they be? (Range: 5x5px to 25x25px (attachment: 22x22px (including 1x1px border)
- How much spacing between each colour (horizontally and vertically)? (4px space between in the attachment)
- Change/Edit the text for "+Fave", "Delete", and "Delete All".
- Maximum amount of +faves users can have (this would depend on what they have selected above. For example in my attachment mine are 6 per line, so if I was to keep it looking nice, I wouldn't go over 6 per line, so I would probably say 6,12,18,24,30,36 (a multiple of how many I want per line). However, it also can depend if that bothers them, hence giving the admin/staff a choice of what setting to use.
Using The Plugin:
When you save a new colour, it automatically chooses the next free/available slot (maybe have it so you can drag and reorder the placement of the colours (based on individual users)? It would somehow auto-save after one had been moved.
+Fave: Select/Input the colour/hex you wish to use/save (like you currently do), and then select "+Fave".
Delete: Choose a colour in the favourites, hit "delete" to remove that selected colour from your favourites.
Delete All: No colours need to be selected, but hitting this will CLEAR ALL faves.
I doubt that is everything thought of, but it's a start. Questions? Ask me =)
Edit History: 1:04am - maximum faves per user + amended subject
