fffcopy.freemessageboards.comI am using two codes, one from Patrick to widen the smiley box which is is in the Global Header:- <style>.smiley-menu { width: 850px; }</style> And the other which Snap2000 posted to align the smileys. It's in my Global Footer:- <style type="text/css"><!--
.smiley-menu > li { float: none; display: inline-block; }
--></style> These codes worked perfectly until my Beta Test forum went off line last week during the upgrade, but since then the smileys are all ranged to the left and not all of them are showing. I have one open board where the problem can be seen:- fffcopy.freemessageboards.com/thread/8823/rbl-launches-poppy-appealWould appreciate any help solving this. I have tried removing the codes but it's still a problem

Hi, Liz. When you open the smiley window, can you try disabling, then re-enabling the smileys? This seemed to fix the issue for me.

I've tried that Brian but they are still not displaying properly and half of them are missing!
(Tried in Chrome and Firefox with same results)

Okay, I think I've got the missing smileys problem sorted out. Half of them are gone because they're outside the page's boundaries. The missing ones are all above the web page. However, if I zoom the browser all the way out, the smiley box pops up properly below the button as it's supposed to. I think this has to do with where and how the forum places the box when you click the smiley button. I'll add this to a bug report. For now, when replying to a thread, try scrolling down until the smiley button is right at the top of your window. Then click it and it should display the smiley box below the smiley button (providing your resolution is high enough).

That's fine thanks Brian - I thought it must be a bug as it all looked fine before last week's update. Hopefully all will be well when my forum upgrades to V5 later this month

It's kind of a bug and it kind of isn't. Everything is working as intended, but I don't think we accounted for so many large smileys when we made it behave like that. Basically what happens is if there's not enough room in your window for the list of smileys below the Insert Smiley button, it'll place the box above it. However, if the box is too big for above the Insert Smiley button, anything cut off from the top of the page will be unclickable since you can't scroll past the very top of the page. So yeah. I've put forward a suggestion to the devs to change it so it only appears below the Insert Smiley button. That way it doesn't get cut off, since if the content expands beyond the end of the page on the bottom or the right, the browser adds a scrollbar.

I tried what you suggested with zooming all the way out etc. All that happened was that the smiley box disappeared off the top of the page completely.
This was the same problem I had with the Beta Test forum before I used the two codes that I listed. These solved the problem completely and the smileys all displayed right across the full width of the box, aligned perfectly.
It's all gone wrong since the recent forum update.
I know they are larger smileys but I use many of them in 4.5 without a problem!
