Shout Box Auto Refresh

On V4.5 I currently use Cbox (premium) as a 'shoutbox' for sporting events a few hours per week. For these occasions I need a shout-Box that auto refreshes when posts are made. 

Is this/Will this be possible with the PB's shout-box (as I'd like to keep the PB's one!) even if is a paid service.
I'm currently setting up a custom page for these occasions so would like to know so I can figure out what layout to use depending on whether I'll use Cbox or the PB's one.

The shoutbox currently has an auto-refresh already built in.

It is based on how active the shoutbox is to minimize the amount of calls made to the server. When you type a message it starts an auto refresh check. It looks when the last message is and then refreshes or doesn't based on that. it's fairly complex to explain, but essentially if there has been a message in the last 5 minutes it attempts to refresh the shoutbox on it's own. If there isn't then it doesn't bother. If you don't want to type, but still want to start the auto refresh going you can click the little refresh icon. 'Click to Update' it says when hovering. It then goes into 'Auto-Updating' mode. This is the auto refresh. How long the button stays active is directly based on how long since the last message.

So in short, as long as your shoutbox is active it will auto refresh automatically.
