Mark all notifications as 'read' in Profile

Hi

I've noticed that when someone 'likes' something you've posted you get a notification - which is fine - and when  you go to your Profile it tells you who 'liked' it, which is also fine

However, the only way I can see to get rid of the "NEW" text to the left of the notification is to actually click on and follow the link to your original post that was liked

Have I got this right or am I missing something obvious?

If I'm right then wouldn't it be better to have a "mark all notifications as read" option/button or something in your Profile? If all you are seeing is loads of 'likes' then it would save you bags of time

Just an idea and I am more than happy for someone to tell me that I've missed some big button or something that does just that!

You can disable specific things to get notifications for.
or if you want them all enabled, you don't have to follow the link, just click "Profile" and then Notifications, then go back to doing whatever you want.

Thanks Stinky666, I knew about being able to filter which notifications you get - I didn't know that it automatically just got rid of the 'NEW' next to those just by you clicking out of your Profile notifications area - I thought you had to action them or something. No worries and thanks

The instant you view your Notifications the new icons will go away. Simply viewing them makes them no longer new. If you were to refresh the page or navigate away and comeback the new icons would be gone. You do not have to click the links.
