Change color of this Text?

It's the text at the bottom.. i,e.. Make board ad free, etc. As my background picture is dark and the text dark blue..Members can not read it.. I'd like to make the text white..

Admin > Themes > Colors and Styles > Footer (bottom)

No worries. I for one love the fact they added that so we can customize it.

Might be worth mentioning to someone like VS Admin or Ryan Roos that I discovered pretty quickly that you can set the colour to the same as your background, or 'transparent', as I remember.

Yeah, I also thought was weird/odd/stupid.
I was actually going to do something like that, or at least make it a really really light grey on a blue bg (my text is white), so then technically it's visible, but is just extremely hard to see. I decided against it and went with making it look good/nice on my blue bg. =)

It's weird/odd/stupid that we give you full control to customize?

Transparent is simply a property of the color field. There are other things throughout your forum you may wish to make transparent (as CSS allows you to do so, so do we).

Setting your color to the same as your background? What if your color background is black and you upload an image background that appears white. You shouldn't be able to set your text to black simply because your background color is black? Where does it end? Blocking the identical hex code won't do anything if you can just make black #000001 and have it blend. So we block a range of hex codes? How many, how much contrast? Where does it end? How many themes do we break?

We thought we would trust you, the members, to customize your forum how you want in the most logical and powerful way, while not violating the TOS by removing or hiding things you shouldn't. Should we not allow you to upload any images because you might upload ones that violate the TOS? Should we not allow you to edit the template because you could hide the ads (or even removing the copyright and forum text you're referring to)? Or should we trust you to not do those things and give you the ability to do things responsibly? It's the same thing.

It is not weird or odd and it is especially not stupid.

Apologies that I offended you, but I didn't mean the whole thing was weird, odd or stupid. As you can see from my second post in here, I said I love the fact you guys added it for us.

It's just the whole thing of being able to put the same color as text, as your BG, or making it transparent. That's all I was saying was stupid/odd/weird. However, I'm sure those doing stuff like this, will be caught.

OOPs.. Looks like I'm only half way there..

I still need to change the Red text to White.."Click here to remove banner ads from this Forum"  Any Ideas?
