Images on forum and website

Hi all

Just a quick question really, on websites and also ProBoards forum what code is used to randomly change images when the page is refreshed? I'm not talking about Flash but would like to have say 10 standard images that would randomly change when a new page is opened or the refresh button is clicked. Similar to how the advertisements on the forum works if you like.

Any help will be greatly apprechiated.
