Just a short question to patrick clinger cretor of v5 sidebar plugin

Is it possible to put recent status updates, recent topics in the sidebars if so may i please be directed into how to do it

I see your post is over 2 weeks old, did you ever get an answer. 
I want to know the same two questions. 
Does anyone know the answer or has anyone read a thread(link) that might steer me in the right direction. thanks

If the information isn't in the page source, the plugin can't get it in any way.

In the case of recent status updates and topics, that information is only available on certain pages, so you can't universally place it within your sidebar.
