Question - is there any way to have the sidebars not show up once in a thread, allowing the thread content to then have the full width of the board? Global Header.

Another question for you.... I posted this elsewhere and I think it may be you who replied Brian. Can I possibly move the info center into the side bar? Without the side bar showing in each thread, it would be a fantastic location for it

Without the side bar showing in each thread, it would be a fantastic location for it Yes, but bear in mind that it won't show anywhere other than the main page and within boards (the boards have their own info center). Any other page such as the Members page, Profile page, Messages page, etc. will not show an info center. Keep the text in green if you want to add it to the left sidebar. Otherwise, keep the text in red. Whichever one you do not use should be removed from the code.

I'm very happy with that, actually. The only drawback presently is the layout for the first two sections of info. You can see what I mean at www.rpgmenagerie.com Any help with this would be appreciated, of course and thanks for your help so far. The user's online and 24 hour activity are working wonderfully.

Also, this from one of my admin in regards to the sidebar being removed when in a thread: "To clarify, it looks ok when I go to write, but viewing a thread everything is shifted to one side and seems to be set to fit in the sapce normally occupied by the sidebar. Maybe its just because I'm forced to use IE as my browser. Glad to hear its working for others." Read more: rpgmenagerie.com/thread/946/new-site?page=2&scrollTo=28046#ixzz2wUwmkMRW

You need to ask someone in the Template Request board how to change the info center to a single column. Gross, IE8 (I think. I thought Windows 7 came with a later version, but that looks exactly the same as IE8.). I had a look at it in an XP virtual machine. The easiest way to remedy that for them would be to add this after whichever line you kept in the previous code I gave you.

it's been some time since I have posted, or even read this thread so forgive me if this has been answered but I just don't have the patience to look through 70+ pages of posts to find what I am looking for. But is there a code that I could add to a table that makes it so that when I hover over a photo it does that note like thing (like when you add alt text and hovering over a picture tells you what the picture's name is or something) that shows you a slightly larger version of the picture as well as a line or two of information. I've seen something like it on a few sites already so I know it can be done but I haven't a clue how or where to put things lol. Also, might I suggest that maybe there be a list somewhere (like how there are all the plugin/theme/ect indexes) of all the neat things that can be done in the tables. Kind of like how Shrike did for her 'border around forum' thread. I'm not suggesting that it all be written down, but maybe just a list that links to the specific posts within this thread. That way we don't have to ask over and over again how to do this or how to do that... Just an idea. Anyhoozles, thank you for your time

It doesn't even show up at all for me. Did you edit its settings at all? It won't show up until you modify its settings and enable at least one sidebar and have at least one content box. A forum URL would be nice, too.

Anyhoozles, thank you for your time The contents of this thread sound similar to what you might be looking for, though it might require a bit of tweaking to get working. If that doesn't do what you want I suggest looking for Javascript codes online or requesting something in one of the other boards in the Coding & Development category, as external codes that are made to work anywhere have nothing to do with my sidebar and thus should not be requested in this thread. There's no list because there's no limit to the customizations you can make to each of your content boxes. You can assign an ID to them, so you can edit each one with whatever CSS and Javascript/jQuery you want. And there's, like, a bajillion different properties to use in CSS and limitless things you can do in Javascript.
