So, I am having multiple issues with my V5 forum, Rising Again. One of the problems are the plugins. I'm downloading the plugins from here, and saving them and all, but when I go to import it, it gives me an error and says "The file could not be uploaded. Verify that the file is a valid plugin." How could it not be a valid plugin considering I've downloaded it from here? Another problem I am having is that when I go into the Colors & Styles thing under Themes, and when I try to upload a background image, no matter the size it gives me an error and says "The file could not be uploaded. Verify that the file is a valid image and does not exceed the maximum size of 1MB." All of the photos that I am trying to upload are either JPEG or PNG. And they are all under 1MB. I've tried several different ones as well, and get the same error each time. And then, going along with the previous problem, instead of uploading my own photo I decided I'll just go with the ones that are there offered. So I'll click on one of the images in the drop down thing. I go and click either save changes at the bottom, or save theme at the top and it gives me another error saying "Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, you@example.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log." Now what did I do wrong that time? Thank you in advance for any help.

This will likely be when the office opens. However, do keep checking back before then. Office opening times are: 9-5, Pacific standard time.

Hi What plugin are you trying to use, and what web browser are you currently using? I tried installing the sidebar plugin on your forum and it worked just fine for me. I noticed that you have a background image in place, do you still get an error when you are trying to upload/link? Or is this a new issue that you've been experiencing?

I've tried using the sidebar plugin and the Styled Member Name plugin. Neither of them have worked. I use Google Chrome. I just tried importing the sidebar plugin once more to see if anything had changed for me, but I still got the same error.
I am slightly confused as to what exactly you are asking? I had been creating a new theme when this had happened. It had let me create the theme and name it and the first few steps. So I was trying to upload the background image for the theme.

Hi, It appears that you already have a background image in place on your forum: this one? Or are you trying to create another new theme, or what theme are you attempting to add a background image to? As for the issue with the plugins, could I have you try to use another browser? I also just want to confirm that you are indeed uploading the .pbp file you downloaded from the plugin section of support, correct?

I was trying to create a completely new theme. I was trying to add the background image to Snowfall Wonderland.
I just tried it in Internet Explorer, and I got the same error. And yes, I am 100% sure I am clicking on the plugin that I downloaded from here.

Hi tinypup, Just now I went in as a test and imported the sidebar redux plugin created by Brian using the same method you would use to do so. I've kept the plugin on the forum, but left it disabled. But since you get the error, our developers will have to try and figure out what issue specific to you is preventing you from being able to import plugins to the forum. Because of this, I have moved this to the bugs area and have let them know

tinypup: Can you download a plugin and then reupload it to this forum as an attachment? I'm curious if the file is somehow getting corrupted or changed after/during the download.

tinypup, * What version of Google Chrome are you using? * Do you have any extensions installed? * Also, what type of device are you browsing on?

Hmmm. We're testing it using the same browser and operating system and it's working ok. Before we start writing some test pages to figure out what exactly is going on, could you please clear your cache and verify the issue still occurs? In Chrome, you should be able to clear the cache by pressing control-shift-delete, setting the drop down option to "the beginning of time," checking only "empty the cache," and hitting the "clear browsing data" button. Thank you!

I tried clearing the cache and I'm still getting the same results and the same error messages.

Hi tinypup, I see that it's been a long time since this thread was replied to. Are you still having the same problem?

I'm not quite sure if the problems are still ocurring because I'm having a hard time using Proboards. Like I'll go to a forum and it will load, and then I'll go and click on the login link and it will tell me no data was recieved. It does this the good majority of the time and just to get to this thread, I had to try to login two different times and the second time it worked. However when I tried to click on the link to get me to this thread, I had to do that two times as well. And I have a hard time logging onto the Global Login on the Proboards site so I've just given up really.
