[request] Wormo's PostChoke code

I currently use Wormopolis's PostChoke code, because I have members who just cannot NOT go flame in certain other members' threads. I'd really love to see this code be made into a plugin, if possible.

there are parts I could probably do, but parts I cant yet. a member's usergroup is now an available piece of data, which is awesome (thanks Vinh), but Im not sure I can get some of the pther stuff to work.

since that code was created, it has gone through several new versions that add a new functionality. which functions were you hoping to be working?

I mainly want to be able to block specific users from posting in specific threads, though I do have one user I've blocked from an entire board. I'd like to continue that too, but if not, then I will add threads one at a time as required.

ok still lookign at what is possible. the part I have in there about groups Im not even going to add because you can already do that in the board settings itself.

and since making entries is different now, Im going to try an autoform where you choose the user(s) and then the board(s) they are restricted in. if a thread number is listed, then it just restricts on that thread.

ok. I have it installed, but what format does the thread choke need to be in? The old version said to enter 'THR24288'. This one, I put in just the number.


* editing to add - just the number works. I successfully blocked my test account from taking any actions on one thread.

yeah its just the thread number now since everything gets inputted by forms now. the drawback is you have to list threads in the boards they are in now. reverse works too.

I dont know if Im going to be able to put back in some of the previous abilities of choking after a certain post count or choking by category (since its easier to just choose all the boards).

Personally, I don't need the post count restriction. I only need board and thread. Others may feel differently, but this does exactly what *I* need it to do. Thanks so much!
