It's not working because you don't have the target set. Look at the instructions to see what the correct set up is.

You dont have the target variable set, like I said before. What you have is Name|Url|Sublinks which is wrong. It needs to be Name|Url|Target|Sublinks
Also your sublink format is wrong you have {Name,Url} it needs to be {Name,Url,Target}

ok so here we go again xD
For example, cause i am totally dense... Admin would be the main button, Themes would be the sub and everything in themes would be the sub sub link?
Themes|manager| Colors & Theme Creator|easy| Advanced CSS|visual|css| Layout Templates|advanced
I'm still not sure what to do for the links part, sorry if i am driving you up the wall.

Yes Admin would the main(the one showing in the menu bar), Themes would be the sub(in the drop down when hovering over admin), and everything in themes(uyou don't have any in the current example.
You put the link to the page. I don't see how that is complicated. The link to this current page is "http://support.proboards.com/thread/441050/drop-nav-library-support?page=20" so if you wanted to link to this page you would put that.
Let me just explain this to you.
The format without any sublinks is NAME|URL|TARGET
NAME is the text you will see in the sub menu. URL is the url to page you want to direct to. TARGET is how you want the link to open. The choices are _self which will open the link in the same tab or _blank which will open the link in a new tab. Shouldn't be anything complicated about that.
The format with any sublinks is NAME|URL|TARGET|{SUB-SUB LINK NAME,SUB-SUB LINK URL,SUB-SUB LINK TARGET}
NAME is the text you will see in the sub menu. URL is the url to page you want to direct to. TARGET is how you want the link to open. The choices are _self which will open the link in the same tab or _blank which will open the link in a new tab. Shouldn't be anything complicated about that. The only complicated part should be the sub-sub links(which shouldn't be hard at all). SUB-SUB LINK NAME is the text of the link you will see in the sub-sub menu. SUB-SUB LINK URL is the url to page you want to direct to. SUB-SUB LINK TARGET is how you want the link to open. The choices are _self which will open the link in the same tab or _blank which will open the link in a new tab.
I don't think I can explain it any more than that.

Shorty I have been using this plugin and it's great, though I noticed one issue: One of my buttons with dropdowns contains preset locations, such as "my profile" and "messages" - thinks that were already there, but I removed from the nav to add them to the dropdown instead. You can see them in effect on my site ncisblue.comAnyway, while this works wonderfully, there's no notification or alert when members receive a new message because the inbox button is located in the drop-down. Same goes for any other alerts. Is there a way to make buttons like "message" operate as it did when it was a part of the general nav rather than the dropdown plugin one? I hope this makes sense! I wasn't sure how else to explain it.

Dont remove it from the nav bar in the navigation settings. You can add drop downs to existing buttons by making the main link name the same as an existing button like 'Messages' or 'Profile'

That's the thing, I have a drop down button called "My Account", which in there is a list that includes the user profile, messages, custom page, bookmarks etc. It's so members can access all account related things in one drop-down menu.

Ah. Sorry I misunderstood your first post. I understand now. It is possible, but only if you were to actually have the 'Messages', 'Profile', etc button in the actual nav as well as the drop down, which would totally negate what you are actually trying to do.

Hmmm, I see.
It's only an issue because no one knows if they get a message or notification unless they manually check. If the messages etc are disabled in the actual nav, as I have, would a plugin like "Notifications in Browser Tab" work? All we really need is some way to still let members know they have a notification, new follower, PM, etc.

I believe that plugin is looking at the notification bubble that comes with the menu so I don't think it would work for you, but I can't be 100% certain as I have never used the plugin.

Yeah, that might not work then. I gave it a try; nothing. I might have to put the messages back into the menu, as it's the most important notification members need to be alerted of. Otherwise, thank you for this lovely plugin! It has helped so much and myself+members find it very helpful.
