Drop Down Nav [Library Support]

I would like to suggest the ability to have a checkbox that makes a forum link automatically add sub-forums (and their sub-forums in another sub-menu) to the dropdown menu. If unchecked, you could do it manually how you do it now.

Hey. I don't have much to add to this wonderful plugin but I did do something neat.


When you go to "Main Text Link" and add your text. Include ⬇ at the end to give it a neat effect! 




You can copy and paste this arrow... or simply look up text symbols on the web to find something else that you like!

I am trying to nest my drop down menu by year 2019 2020 etc. Buwhen I do it all I get is

Looking at the OP, this line:

CCC 2019|http://ecgatest.boards.net/page/CCC2019|_self|{CCC 2020|http://ecgatest.boards.net/page/ccc-2020|_self|}


should be this:

CCC 2019|http://ecgatest.boards.net/page/CCC2019|_self|{CCC 2020,http://ecgatest.boards.net/page/ccc-2020,_self}


Notice how the 2nd part (inside the { }) has the NAME, URL and TARGET separated by a comma, not the pipe symbol ( | ). You also had a stray pipe symbol after the last _self.

Great plugin but the only thing I don't like about it is when you are viewing your forum in the mobile theme on mobile devices the dropdown nav links don't even appear. Is there a way to fix this or no? Thanks for the cool plugin!

No. The mobile version of PB v5 does not support plugins at all.

You could disable the mobile version to force every user into the desktop version where the plugin works, but a) if you don't have a responsive theme that's going to be terrible user experience and b) since you mentioned mobile version specifically it doesn't seem to be what you're after.

I haven't read all 34 pages on this thread, is there somewhere mentioned what "You MUST use proper CSS." means, in the context of adding Extra List Item CSS? Is it <style=>, or {style=}? I'd like to add a line under each menu item, but determining what "proper CSS" means in this context isn't clear.

Edit: I now have read all 34 pages and discovered, though it wasn't specifically covered, that the simplest CSS style is the answer, as shown in the image below.

Help!   I had a long set of links collected over the years in my drop down and when I went to the settings page they were not in the Drop Down Settings text box, but I was just changing the label of another menu and assumed they were not just showing up hit save and  low and behold, all my links are gone.    I don't think there is a backup anywhere is there?

Why didn't my text box contain my previous settings?   All the other settings were correct.

Google made a cache of your forum on Dec 02, 2023, but unfortunately, it was a mobile view cache, so there was no plugin data.

is it possible to add a container for the drop-down tabs?
Currently, it shows the tabs but it camouflages with the background making it hard to see. What would you recommend to make this work?

The background color of the overall dropdown and the background color of the item you are hovering over can be customized in the Styling tab of the plugin.
