Shorty, this is one of the stronger plugins in my opinion. Is it not possible for one of the Proboards team to help out with the I.E issue ?

I don't know. I mean the issue in IE doesn't cause it not to work. It just causes to not be the most visually appealing in the worst browser imaginable.

I don't suppose the issue with I.E has been fixed yet?

It wasn't too bad when I first installed it regarding size. It became bigger after a few versions etc.

Any chance ?

I still don't know how to fix, so i pretty much stopped trying after trying for hours. I guess the only other option would be for you to set a width for each drop down.

There is much about the forum that doesn't work well with I.E so I think they need to rethink a little.

I don't so much think proboards needs to rethink whereas Microsoft does. They need to fix their crappy browser.

As admins, we can't just submit something to the web without considering how things look across all browsers though mate, as you will know only too well. We might not like I.E, but it's in the top 3 browsers used, and as such, a huge percentage of members use it (forget about my own personal 2 bit forum with it's 1.5 members etc).

The drop down looks great in Chrome, but as you know, it is problematic in I.E.

The choices are use it, and let I.E users have an unintended experience, or uninstall it, and not have it. This is why maybe Proboards should already have the facility, or help you with your own plugin, as your efforts deserve cross browser compatibility.

For me, it's the best plugin we have, other than the I.E issue.

I will probably just make you set a width for each drop down. But this plugin is last on my list of like 6 to update. So I'll probably have that added it by the end of the week.
