<------ Please be kind, Silver Surfing Grandmother! Thanks for the explanation Chris, most of what you said is way beyond me though. <rollseyes> I will update this plugin as it's not unfriendly in the way I might have first imagined! EDIT: I already have the latest version.

Is there anyway to add a preview button to it? or is there any other plugin that could do that?

that would sort of defeat the purpose of it being a "quick reply". if you want a preview then just use the regular reply.

Chris I installed the nightly version but there is something that bothers me. Some small grey bar with a 0 number appears at the bottom of the page. I'm sure it's from that plugin cause when I disabled it for a moment the bar didn't appear.

I'm sure it's from that plugin cause when I disabled it for a moment the bar didn't appear. I was sure I had made that update already, the problem and a fix for line 376 is described here but I'll go looking for the the source version (now where did I put that...) then recompile with the fix. ETA: Nightly download has been updated to version 0.8.821 to set that input to type hidden

Eton I just found a issue with this plugin. When using the image insert function it will only insert the image in the BBCode function and will not insert it in the "Preview" mode. Even if you have your profile in the Preview mose. Can this be corrected? Thanks I just tested this on the control freak version and saw no problems so a forum URL would be needed in order to see what version is running as well as to test for conflicts and/or other known problems.

is there any way to make it so that when you add an attribute it won't automatically make it something like attribute="value"i'd like to just add :# after my tag instead if that's possible so after clicking the image button you can easily add a hex color value without having to delete the equals sign and quotation marks every time thank you!

That's how attributes work though: width="150" style="color:#f00;", etc. perhaps if you give me an example of what you're trying to accomplish I can wrap my head around what you're trying to say.

i'm using the colorsmear plugin along with this, and the button to add colorsmear in posts doesn't work when i have this code up. i tried to fix the problem on my own by simply disabling the colorsmear plugin for posts, thus removing the button for it. then i tried to add the colorsmear tags and button this with code the colorsmear tags are as follows: [smear:#color1][/smear:#color2] with this code i can't add the :#color parts because it puts the equals sign and quotation marks in. those things are great for most every other thing possible but in this situation it doesn't make the same result for the colorsmear

I'm not as smart as eton to have my post button working correctly. Mine puts a tag on, but it doesn't surround selections
