The plugin is great. The problem I see is that it does not cover the create thread, edit post and reply editors? How can I add the blockquote button for these 3 cases?
by the way, any gif for the blockquote/indent button in the v5 templates?
Update, found the response in the plugin itself:
Also apply any custom buttons created above to the following tabs of the full reply page
Visual Tab
BBcode Tab

Kriss Blimey that got me thinking - I am fairly sure, as it has happened once since, is that I updated the plugin but the older plugin was still there and was causing double...I deleted the older plugin and everything was ok again. Good luck. RF

Hi. I recently added five five-star ratings images to my smiles on my forum via: Admin Home > Themes >Themes Settings Images Tab Smiles section The stars are showing up in the Smilie Dropdown box everywhere BUT the quick reply. I'm using: Smilie Dropdown 3.0.6(just updated from version 3.0.4, but had the problem using it, too) Quick Reply BBCode Buttons 0.8.9 I disabled all my other plugins except those two and still had the problem. Todge said since I added the stars to the smiley list in my themes, it was not an issue with her plugin and referred me here.

There are steps regarding the shoutbox that must be taken if you have custom smileys added through admin panel and wish to have them appear in the quick reply, please see the first post in this thread for further instructions (under the "tips" section).

When I think of all the times I have castigated people for not reading the first post of a support thread before asking a question... Worked like a charm, thank you so much!

I can't remember whether I have already asked this Chris, read about it, or even if I should be asking Todge...sorry. I have Todge's drop down smilie menu togetehr with your UBBC Buttons and I have added some extra default smilies...see below.. In Quick Reply I only have the default set without the additions that I added...is that correct - or can you also have the additional smilies there as well?? Thanks. RF

Hi Rosefriend, There are steps regarding the shoutbox that must be taken if you have custom smileys added through admin panel and wish to have them appear in the quick reply, please see the first post in this thread for further instructions (under the "tips" section) Tips- If you define custom smiley emoticons in your admin panel this plugin has no access to that data so if you wish those custom smileys to show up in the plugin then enable the shoutbox so the plugin can grab them from the shoutbox, you can still hide the shoutbox, if that is what you wish, by editing the shoutbox template so it becomes hidden but remains enabled
see spoiler for an alternate explanationPerhaps this will be more understandable... If you have smilies other than the standard smilies defined in your admin panel then those smilies would not be available for the BBCode plugin to access on certain pages. In order to have those custom smilies appear when using quick reply you must enable the shoutbox. With the shoutbox enabled the BBCode plugin can grab the smilies from the shoutbox. If you do not want the shoutbox to display for your members and visitors then the image I posted shows how to edit the shoutbox layout to effectively hide it (but still have it remain enabled) This has nothing to do with any other plugin or even how you host your smilies. As long as you've told the admin panel which smilies you want to use it will send those smilies to the shoutbox but it will not send them to a plugin. The plugin therefore cheats by copying off the shoutbox's paper when the teacher is not looking...

Oh now I understand Chris - we don't want a shoutbox and I kept thinking that if I had to have a shoutbox then I would cope without the added smilies on the Quick Reply... I 'll have a go certainly...thanks for the help Eton... RF

I 'll have a go certainly...thanks for the help Eton... RF Mmmh - think you are going to have to lead me by the hand Chris - I did what I thought was correct but your buttons disappeared and on the smiley front there wasn't another set. OK - I went to Shoutbox and Enabled it and then went to Layout Templates>Shoutbox and this is my first line <div class="$[shoutbox_class] container full"> Then I added what you have in Green to that which is style=display:none"> which gives me <div class="$[shoutbox_class] container full" style=display:none"> As I say then I had no UBBC buttons and the additional icons were not there. Thinking I had done it wrong I went back and disabled the Shoutbox, as the code would let the Plugin think that that it was still showing. Still wrong... Then I started from scratch and did not enable the shoutbox at all and just put the extra code in - nothing... So - what am I doing wrong please?? RF

I have disabled the Shoutbox for the moment Chris - the smilies work very well on QR when enabled but you can still see the shoutbox and we really do not want that. I will also ask a couple of members to test their Personal Smilies for me - I do have the newest Version. RF

Thanks Chris but we can still see the Shoutbox... This is how the first line looks now: <div class="$[shoutbox_class] container full style="display:none"> When that is correct then I suppose there is something else not right... Sorry to mess you about.
