thread redirect

What I need is a helpdesk button for the menu, it being directed to a hidden board, which after making a thread the user gets redirected to a thank you board, and then redirects back to the forum page. I want it this way so after the user makes a thread he or she will not be able to see the finish post or other threads on that board. I hope this all makes sense. Can this be done without a plugin?

Why not use a private board? Where a member will only be able to see their own post, but staff can see all the posts?

Shorty, As a private board a user will need to get permission to be on that board? If staff was the only group allowed on that board how will the user be able to make thread?

No, a private board is one that a member can only see their posts. And no one elses. Staff can see all though.

So that would work, so how can I make button on the menu bar? can the user be redirect away from the board after the post?

Just get the URL of the create thread page and then make a button by by going to the settings and under navigation paste the URL and give it a name. For the redirect, why would want them redirected? I thought the point of the redirect was so they couldn't read others post?

I guess it would work that way but if they can't see anybody elses then it would be ok.

Shorty, It looks like after clicking the help desk button it goes to that sub board where it says create a thread. Can I use the address that is after I click on create a thread? (custom post plugin)
