Cannot unlink an account from my global account

For some reason or other, one of my members 'jjgivaway' is one of my global accounts.  I have removed all my accounts associated with my global accounts, but for some reason or other, his account is there.  If possible, I would like his account removed from my global account section.  I'm not really sure how it got there in the first place, but it's there, nonetheless.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to proboards.com. Make sure you're logged in. Once that is done, click on Account Settings. In this section, there is an option to unlink forum account. Follow directions in that section. Hope this helped.

No, I understand how to do that .. but, like the other accounts of mine .. I simple chose the board, then the username, then put in the 'new' password and repeated the password again .. for the ones that were mine -- thus, no problem. However, his name is in there for one of my boards and I'm not sure why or how it got there. That being said, I tried putting in a 'new' password .. however, it didn't work. I appreciate your help, either way.

I moved this topic to the bugs area, while I could fix this for you I think it would be best if our developers were able to take a look to see if they can find out what caused this to happen in the first place so that it can be corrected. Can you provide a link to your forum please? Once I have that info I can forward this off to them

You can unlink the account by clicking the gearbox at the bottom right, then going to Unlink Forum Account and selecting the account from the dropdown and removing it. There are further instructions on the screen to follow.

Michael Hey, Michael. I go to 'Unlink Forum Account'. Then I select from the drop down the forum that it is ... then, I select the account, which in this case is 'jjgivaway'. There is a place to put in a 'new password' then another to re-enter the password. I go to save changes and it says, 'invalid account'.

All this said, I DID notice below this section a 'Delete Global Account'. Being that the aforementioned way of putting in the password didn't work .. mainly, because it's not my account, should I try and do the 'Delete Global Account', instead, or will this particular way swipe out MY personal global account?  If so, I suppose I don't want to take that route. :/

Hi M³, I'm one of the ProBoards devs. I have removed the jjgivaway account from your global account. We have some security checks in place to prevent removing accounts that aren't *really* yours, which is why you got that error when attempting to remove it. I'm going to look into how that other account got linked to yours, to prevent this problem from happening again to you, or anyone else.
