The good news is that I signed in and got sound in IE and FF.  Dropbox isn't very quick for downloads and so there may be some sort of delay or time out downloading the sound clip.
The bad news is that there is something wrong

As a guest I couldn't post. This is what I saw:


The cancel button shouldn't be there and as a guest when I pressed Send or Cancel it just took me to the top of the screen.
Can you disable this plugin and see if the problem still exists. (It doesn't happen on 3 other sites i've tried it on)

I would say that another plugin or template mod done on the shoutbox is causing this (or maybe a code conflict). Let me know.

LOL Not sure if I should say thanks or sorry! What can I say, I'm trying things out and while our layout may not be fancy, we like our toys!

That's weird because I don't see that cancel button myself... I wonder where it came from... I'll try and disable the other plug ins one by one and see what happens. I'll let you know!

Hello Pebble...

I was having a problem link and this evening I was still having this same issue and decided to check the plugins and see if any of them may be causing this. Disabled all and then enabled one at a time and sure enough, yours being the last was causing this.

I can't replicate this. Have you got a link to where it's happening?  Browser it happens with ?

As to the link, it's the same as your a member of. As to the browser, it would be IE9 and Firefox 18. I will enable it until you have a look and see if you can "replicate" this.

You have a couple of things that are wrong in your coding:

This probably in your template wrapper section.
You've got an 'a' tag twice, one wrapped inside the other.
I'm on a really rubbish internet connection, back to normal tomorrow. I'll have another look and let you know on your site tomorrow (now crossing fingers that this will send)

Also, when you say you disabled the plugins - did you try removing the coding in your global headers/footers ? (save it first)

Sure did and still the same.

Sorry aRMY, as I can't replicate the problem I don't have a solution. You have so many plugins and template mods etc it would take me hours to rebuild your site (one of the only downsides of plugins V codes, I could just copy paste your codes etc in V4.5 and have it on my test site).

For now, I'd disable the plugin and maybe try it again when some other plugins (or this one) have had an update. There's obviosly some sort of conflict with something else somewhere....

Pebble can you make this utilize localStorage instead of sessionStorage? That way I don't have to turn it on everytime I come on.

 I´ll take a look later today. I USED SESSION STORAGE TO make it  a concious decision to switch it on.  I can throw another version of the same code out there though.

I actually went with local storage to begin with and changed to session....... still unsure which way to go   Or maybe just offer the two versions?
