Hahaha. To me, I am not bothered in the least if it takes a minute or so to do it. My hope is that it at least refreshes before any large spam of time is up (sans several hours.) If it doesn't refresh after an hour I will post in the updated section below.

It should only take a few seconds to be there. And also, the number should update as soon as you click the button to give/take karma.

After I cleared out the old data, added the plugin back in, the amounts still do not appear to want to update on the mini-profile section. I click Exalt or Smite and nothing happens. I waited about an hour for it to see if it would refresh, refreshed the page, changed browsers, changed threads... I am stumped on how long it would take to refresh it.

You mean they aren't updating when you click to give/take karma? What browser are you using? Because it should change instantly.

Also I'm seeing some errors on your forum, that you should probably fix.

First being, where ever you have this.

You are missing the red ')'.

The second being wherever you have this.

That's incorrect.

And then the last error is with this plugin. And i'll look into that.

I just tried testing the same code I have in the code in the console and it worked fine. Fix those other things I mentioned, and then get back to me.

EDIT: I also just tried your template and it works fine. So it's not the template that's causing it. I think it's an issue only you should have. Like I said, try fixing those errors I mentioned and then retry it.

The first issue was fixed but the second part with:

I checked everywhere in the templates and the main css and it does not exist. It is not in my headers/footers code neither because only two lines exist in that. I have zero clue where that part is. That is why I didn't reply right away. I had already corrected the top part.

The only thing even remotely similar is this:

Forum Wrapper. It is part of the script for my glide pm bar.

I sent the script function for that so you could test it. I personally do not see how any of it's functions could be messing the update up. I had already tested it with the code/plugin disabled too and the Karma was not changing; that is why I dismissed it.

Hm, we might have to have Wormopolis check out his alters code. Originally I had that plugin disabled when I loaded this up, I wonder why it is doing it now when it wasn't doing it before when I tested out your updated code this morning.

The problem is that you are using a custom MP with the alter plugin. Using the alter code without the custom MP should work just fine. And you leave out some the classes that are needed for this to run properly. The best thing I think Wormo could do to save me having 2 versions of this plugin and explaining to everyone who uses both of these codes what to do is to make a variable for the class on the user's link, this way you wouldn't need to specify a class, but it's just taken from the original class. And that way you still won't be able to tell who the profile really belongs to, and this works great.

Wormopolis would you be able to do that? If not, I will work it out.

custom MP templates on Alter code dont actually do anything. its just there as a teaser because I was in the middle of writing the code for it when a necessary push was needed. It still puts out an alter MP to be the default one I have it doing.

Im not sure what you are asking me for on the user-link? if we put a class on the alter's name that ties it to the owning member, then ANY plugin that tries to target a member's profile will see that class and affect the alter's mini-profile. I was meant to understand that an alter ISNT supposed to reflect the owner's account (except in the profile where they can see a list of alters). if you have the owner and all the alters with some piece of information that is the same (like say karma or relationship status or mood) then it doesnt really make the later MP an individual entity.

Well, it's breaking on an altered mini-profile because it can't do the necessary splits to get the user-id, because the classes aren't there that I'm using.

As far as trying to get karma on an altered profile, that's what I was trying to do. But I suppose that's up to Tohsaka Rin to decide whether I need to put the alter on the mini-profile or not.
