I haven't seen this one yet. If there's already a plugin or code for this, please point me in the right direction I'm looking for a way to set the background color of an individual post. Every now and then we need to highlight a post as "high importance" and the best way would be to set the background of the post to red or yellow. IPB had a code which used the [alert] tags to highlight a post background yellow. Something like that would be nice, or even a color selector for a background of each post. Thanks! ***For instance, say if I had to bring high attention to this post, I would like to set the background to red, and text to white bold. I would like this option for staff use only.

<div style="background-color:#color code here;color:#text color code;">Write what you want here</div>
There you go. You can add width and height to it as well if you want. Just add width:500px; and or height as well.

Gotcha...thanks. Unfortunately that won't work for what I need it for though. Technically yes, it would but then it doesn't.
For instance, when a tornado warning is posted for the area we cover on our board, we highlight the warning text and paste it into a new post. I'd need to quickly set that background to red and post. Right now, we get warnings instantly and have them posted before they reach the radio and/or TV stations so our members really look forward to our coverage during severe weather. Manually adding in html coding to these posts take up quality time. I do appreciate you showing this to me though!
I would really need a plugin of some sorts to add to the posting windows.

Well then I'll let the ball roll over to someone else, cause anything plugin related is beyond my abilities.

Hi, You could try the link below support.proboards.com/post/5076504That will add instructions for members on how to post the background colour code on the posting page Members can also choose colours from a link that will open on a new tab page Where they can select the html colours from the colour chart to add within the code. That they post on the BBCode page. Hope that helps Steve
