I've tagged him here so hopefully he'll stop by soon and correct this for you.

@ritab,

The new bookmark bubble will disappear right when you go to the bookmarks page to see which bookmarks are new. It does not require you to open the new bookmarked thread(s). So it's possible to see bookmarks that have the new icon, but have no bookmark bubble because you have already seen that these bookmarks were new.

Are you sure you aren't experiencing the above scenario?

How are you being taken straight to the bookmark page? If you are going to straight to the bookmark page then you won't see the bookmark bubble. If you went to some other page besides the bookmark page first, you would see the bookmark bubble.

Being taken to the bookmark page when I use Safari 'Top sites' a feature in my browser, if I use, as I have done just now 'Bookmarks' Safari will take me to the url I have saved to my bookmarks folder.

OK so to this morning I've had 3 email notifications, I used a saved url to Support which I knew would take me to Proboards home page - but only 1 was showing in my bookmarks bubble.

Sorry for not being able to explain what's going on too well Vinh.
