Only yesterday i did this, i went to the forum settings>navigation> changed name of which ever button you want, it doesn't alter the urls direction only the name changes :-) you can also drag n drop the order.If it is a customise page you have to tell it to be the home page, or you will have 2 forum pages under the titles "home" & "forum".

I removed the 'Home |' from my browser tab by editing the Layout Templates > Forum Wrapper.
Inside the <head> I removed the $[title] | from <title>$[title] | $[forum.name]</title> leaving it to read <title> $[forum.name]</title>.
Or I imagine you can change the $[title] | part to some text, but I didn't try that.

In the meantime you can goto: Layout Templates > Forum Wrapperand in inside the <head> section change: <title>$[title] | $[forum.name]</title>
to: <title>Forum | $[forum.name]</title>to get this  |

Obviously it's a perfectly valid edit to make, but as a 'temp fix' doesn't it just create more problems because now Home, Members, Calender, every thread, etc are all wrong rather than just 'Forum'? All tabs would display the same thing? e.g. 'Forum | Proboards Support' if it was here? Rather than how this thread has 'How can I change this name of...'

Agreed that's why I changed mine to the static word 'Forum' so every page reads 'Forum | F-106 Delta Dart Forum'. It will be better later when it reads 'Home | F-106 Delta Dart Forum' or 'Profile | F-106 Delta Dart Forum', but for now it's much better with Forum than the page title. |
