Maude Fealy, flateric5456, evforumadmin: I discovered the bug causing the problem. I've updated to v1.1.1 in the library. The updated plugin is also included as an attachment below.

Note that "testing" for lurkers requires that you log out and perform a deep cache wipe. Otherwise the plugin still "remembers" that you're a member, and it uses the settings for mutes rather than for lurkers.

Thank you for your prompt reply Virgil, I have installed the new version and I am not getting the error message now but I cannot test it yet as soon as I get my hands on the brides computer I will check it out and let you know the result.

I'm writing to you in the hope that you've heard of this before or if not a 'fix' can be had for this...

This sort of error is most commonly caused by users not having access to write to a plugin's key.
If the key permissions are available in the manage plugin section of the plugin, I suggest changing read/write to everyone.

Firstly, this plugin is fantastic. Love it!

I am having one issue though, and it is probably me doing something wrong rather than the plugin.

My message to "mutes" is:

We notice you're a registered member and that you've recently visited %N thread(s), but haven't posted since %D.

When the user receives the alert, they see:

We notice you're a registered member and that you've recently visited 1 thread(s), but haven't posted since when your account was activated

This isn't correct as the user HAS posted many times since account activation.

Am I overlooking something ?

Gene Hunt: Curious. Is this problem unique to this particular member, or have others experienced it?

One initial caveat: the plugins don't run on some mobile platforms, hence if all the member's posting is done from mobile devices and (s)he later logs on to view the site on his/her PC, this problem would result.

Aside from that, it may be that something is interfering with the plugin's event recording.

As an initial test, using your own account, try posting on a thread and then perform a "data dump" of VPester data by pressing in sequence: [Backslash] [Home] [Backslash]. Under "Mutes", the data should have the current time and date listed under "Last Post Occurred:". If not, this is a problem affecting your entire board. Otherwise the problem is limited to specific members.

If the problem is limited to specific members, see if you can find out what browser this member is using. It could very well be a browser-specific issue.

Just made a post and data dump and my latest post is not recorded. Under Last Post Occurred it is returning my post from yesterday.
