V5 has stumped Me

I think this is the right place to post about this? If not im sorry XD

So, version 5 has me pulling out my hair. I've tried so many times to figure it out and i honestly don't get why i can't get it, i think i may be over thinking it. 
Honestly I'm not sure where to start. I want to keep my forum, Here, looking as close as it can be to what it looks like now in version five. I'm not one to ask for help, but, it's either figure this new version out, by the time we have to upgrade, or move the site to another provider, and i've been using proboards for years, so its not something i want to do. I guess i'm looking for any coding help people can give. I have a test site, for v5, Here, but thats as far as i've been able to figure out.

Well I'm not really a great helper- but I can at least give you a few small tips.

For your banner- you can go into your Admin >> Themes >> Theme Manager and you'll see where you can select your forum name or the like. In the drop down box (Should be third if I remember right) select the option "Do not Display a Title". That way you can get your banner without the forum name hovering over the banner. As for the image itself, you can simply go to Admin >> Themes >> Color and Styles and in the first group of options, open up the "Width" and select the width of your forum and your banner. From there, click on "Header (Top)" >> Forum Banner and put in your image to your banner- and select the height of the image. 

As for the sideboxes, two different codes if I remember right- there is this one and this one. I haven't used either of these, but I would think it would still be at least be pretty straight forward. As for your boards and the like, you would be better off not taking advice from me because board mods plus me, equals confusion. I'm sure someone else can help you as well. ^^

That's defiantly a helpful start, thank you XD It's so much more complex than it is now for v4, sighs, But, it's doable. I think the first link for sidebars is closest to what mine are now, so those are helpful. I'll just wait and see about the boards XD

Also, I forgot to add, here is the border around the forum. That should help you out with that part- and the board mods should be easily achieved by someone with much more coding experience than I do. It is a bit more complicated, but you can have multiple skins but separate CSS and not a overload in your headers and footers, so it'll be fun to possibly create more than one skin. Don't worry, it's frustrating, but it gets better.
