Would it be possible to add a "MARK ALL AS READ" button after clicking the PARTICIPATION button, then if something came up that you didnt want to go back to, you could just "MARK ALL AS READ" without having to go to the thread to reset the flag. I like to use the bookmark feature and the Participated button separately.
