If I wanted to do something as basic as to narrow the overall board, I assume the wrapper div, what do I do please ?
I'm quite au fait with html and css, I just don't know how to apply it to this new version.

You can change the forum width by changing it to a percentage. Go to Admin > Themes > Easy Theme Creator
Go to the line that says "forum width" under the heading "Style options" and change the forum width from 940px to something like 75%
Play around with the percentage amount until you get the forum to the size that you like.
