I think a way for staff to tag each other (to be clear: staff tagging staff) would be fantastic. Maybe it would be [at][at]name rather than [at]name. Not sure what exactly would be good However what would happen, is in the notifications section of the profile (the tab), staff tags would always appear at the top but only about 5 at a time (with a show next 5, or show more). These types of tags would be used for stuff that really needs looking at, sorting etc but don't need reporting, deleting etc etc Edit: to make clear, normal tagging still exists with this, this is just an additional feature for staff only. They would appear at the top because they would be used less than obv. normal people tagging and quoting.

Since the notifications system is chronological currently, this sounds far too confusing. Also, having two forms of tagging seems likely to cause far more support tickets than need be.

I don't understand how it's confusing. It'd only appear for staff members, so it's not like every member is going to have it and be confused by it.

Staff can already tag staff and the notification system is already coded to be chronological. We would have to rewrite (or butcher) how the current notification system operates in order to accommodate this request. Also every time you make something work one way for one group (like staff) and a different way for everyone else you start to run into issues. If something really needs to be looked at then the staff member can report it and all the staff can look at it. Or if it's just two people they can message each other with the conversation system (I personally check my PMs before my notifications anyway, so that would be faster if you were trying to reach me for example). Right now we don't feel this is a priority or needed. However we will add it to a list of potential future ideas. Maybe it will help us think of something else in the future, like a staff notification system or something. Who knows? But for now...
Sorry but we won't be adding this feature at this time.
Thank you.

Thank you. Yes staff can already tag staff, obviously. However it's just a normal tag, as if they were tagged by anyone. But alright. At least thanks for giving a proper response.
