First, we have office hours Monday through Friday 9am-530pm PST. That's why you had no reply, your post wasn't reached before the end of business hours Friday. I'm sorry. Technically this reply is early, so there's that at least. Second, It's possible that we could add a text box. We could even possibly add a text box that renders BBCode. However we wouldn't add any sort of editor like when you post. That would be too bulky for that page and would slow it down considerably. Also it's been a while since I used Custom Pages but I think there was a way to display a specific thread last time I checked. You could use that to make a comments thread for whatever you want. To review, we will discuss a BBCode text box and you can try targeting a specific thread for commenting. Thank you.

When you "Display Post" or "Display Poll" there is a reply button that will allow people to go to the thread and comment.
Having a thread inside of a custom page itself is far too resource intensive. That's why when people comment they are taken back to a thread. Everything is based on the fact that you are using a forum. Just like Events in the calendar are threads in a board somewhere so are the comments to a post you display on a custom page. It's all about the discussion.

Click the gearbox of the post you want to link to. Then pick "Link to Post" and copy the number that is that post's ID. For example your last post where you asked me this has the ID 5189510 Take that ID and go paste it into the Display Post Widget where it has the space to do so. That will display the post on your custom page with a reply button.

If the board is hidden you can see it's URL by going to it's settings tab on the Boards and Categories page. The place where you made it hidden.

In the widget, use only the number at the end of the post url.

Thanks, although it seems it doesn't work like I thought it would...as it only shows that one post, so any replies won't be shown. psrv.proboards.com/page/darknessAs I explained before, having the entire thread display in the page is too resource intensive. If people are interested they can navigate to the thread. In the future if it becomes viable we will be adding widgets with more power, like what you are requesting. But for now, especially during the beta, we need to stay within certain boundaries. I hope what we did in this thread helps you until that time. Thank you.
