Expanding carousel

I've found a code for a carousel which looks close to serving my needs (if I can accompany the pics with news, and then create custom pages to go to etc) but I think I need a little more understanding of how to use it, so wondered if there was a Proboard equivalent, or if somebody might be able to offer easy to follow installation and user instructions for this one:

There is a similar thing here (top left if it loads) that could work well, though I appreciate that this is a Wordpress one www.nsno.co.uk/

That's the kind of thing I'm looking for anyway. Something to advertise news, or articles, and then take the reader to them etc.
