I'm needing a code to add a recent post button to my menu bar. i would like to place it next to the messages button.

Please provide a link to your site because, by default, there is no message button but rather text so we need to see how you have it altered to be a button and then go from there. If you prefer to keep your site private, feel free to pm me the link to your forum.

Hopefully, I understand what you are wanting.

Go to: Admin > Settings > Forum Settings and click on the navigation tab. Click on Add Custom and then type in the name you want to call your recent posts. Then in the next field add this:

/posts/recent


And that should put that right next to your messages.
