Mini Profile

Is there a plug-in that recreates v4's mini profile information ~ location ~ date joined ~ message under the avatar, etc.?

Many of our members have been with us since the beginning and they will hate to see that information deleted.

just add it back in with the template editor. there is a list of variables on the side.

its even easier then a screenshot.

go into admin panel, and go to structure. there you will find layout templates. they allow you to completely reconfigure how everything is outputted from the PB server. if you look at the mini-profile one, you will see the formatting of it. over to the right, if you click "user", it will give you a list of every variable that PB stores that you can make show up in the mini-profile

Ok, I did it. And it changed the Profile area. That's a start. Perhaps I am mixing up my terminology. I wanted it to change the profile area next to each post. Would that be the micro profile? I really couldn't figure out the two terms. I thought in v4, the mini profile was the area next to your posts

Go Admin Home -> Members -> Custom Profile Fields -> There you can add in whatever you wish to show up in the mini profiles .

The downside is it puts the field name in and not just the text! 

My members like to put a personal message under their avatar ~ as v4 provides for. This did add that field, but again, the field title name is also displayed. Which looks silly. 

The word "Signature" doesn't show in the signature area. New field titles shouldn't either.

I know . Can you set a field with no name?
I am not sure if you can get back the personal message section if it is no longer there. I never use that so did not notice that one.

Hopefully someone else can help you out with the personal message section.

mini-profile in the template editor. thats the area next to posts. if you put back in one of the user-variables, it doesnt show any label with it. it only does that with custom profile fields.

 Wormopolis, I did exactly what you said. And the info inputted into my profile area but not the mini-profile next to the post. But personal text didn't input in either area. Just the "joined" date and location (but not in the mini-profile).

Aurora's suggestion worked and personal text does appear in the mini ~ but not without the field input of "Personal Text".

I want our mini profiles to look like yours with the text under the avatar.

the text under my avatar is my personal text. no custom profile field was needed.

admin panel->structure->layout templates

look for "mini-profile" in that list.

when it brings up the editor, click user. look for personal text. click it then the insert button.

Sorry about that, Worm! My bad. That's a test board for my real board that I will be upgrading shortly. I didn't trust myself to bring the real deal into v5 test yet ~ even though I know it won't affect our current board.

I see the user personal text, but it doesn't appear in either profiles. The rest of the stuff just appears in the profile but not the mini profile next to the posts.
