Just to expand a few points above.
- Headers and Footers are obsolete. - Anything you can do with headers and footers can be done with plugins or template mods instead. - You could make a plugin specifically for applying CSS to all themes. However... - We already announced at some point we might be adding some sort of Global CSS so that you could apply a style to every theme on your forum at once. (though this could be a plugin right now) - We are still wrapping up the actual coding and bug fixing. ProBoards plugins will be coming soon (around the time of launch). - There isn't a limit of 40. You can always expand that (to 140). And honestly 40 is alread a lot of plugins. Especially when I just explained one of those plugins can be headers and footers itself. Meaning you can put every header and footer code ever into one plugin. That leaves you with 39 more to do with whatever you didn't do with headers and footers. 40 is far more than enough if you are using them intelligently. And if you aren't or you just need more you have that option. Though at a certain point you really need to stop and ask yourself if you are hurting you forum more than helping it when you get near 40 plugins modifying things and loading on the page. It doesn't matter what you are using then, you're gonna have slow loading.

(though this could be a plugin right now) To be fair, how is anyone supposed to know this? You "announce" stuff by posting it in 1 or two threads, not having some sort of release info board or something. No one has the time (me included!!) to read every single thread, and even if so, not every thread takes someone's fancy and you may very well have "announced" this feature in a thread I would never read.

No one has the time (me included!!) to read every single thread, and even if so, not every thread takes someone's fancy and you may very well have "announced" this feature in a thread I would never read. First, I don't mean it offensively. However, there is a brand new advanced search engine in the upper right hand corner of every board. Additionally, most (not all) requests have already been requested, and very often there is a thread that already exists on the same page even. But really that doesn't matter because I didn't mean it in any way other than as a statement informing everyone of the progress of that feature. Reread my sentence and this time read it like I'm telling you that we already announced it. I'm telling you that. I'm not saying it negatively. I'm literally informing you that it has already been announced and that's how far this feature has gotten already. It looks like ♥ ℒʊ√ ♥ understood that's what I was saying just fine. You mention A, B and C. I tell you the following. A is obsolete. B can be done with X. C was already announced as a future feature. ^There's no negativity there. I didn't attack anyone. I was simply telling you that it has been confirmed as a future feature in another thread. Stop applying emotion to it. I don't expect everyone to read everything ever written. I do expect people to search it. And I do expect people to read what I say as information and not with a personal tone. My job is to inform you of decisions. I informed you that a decision was already made requiring a specific idea. There is nothing beyond that. And just for reference. We tried a thread where we announce updates. This didn't work for two reasons. First, NO ONE READS. So no one read it and still went and made threads anyway. And honestly that's far more frustrating than not saying anything and having people ask anyway. Second, we currently are fixing too many bugs to post about all of them. And what you're asking is for the actual future list of ideas. Which we surely aren't going to post either. That would be madness. People would be fighting over the ideas there constantly and we are busy enough without wrangling that. Plus ideas fall in and out of different categories of how seriously we want to pursue them. We don't need public opinion swirling it up even more or getting upset if we push a feature back (we know you guys want these things, that's why you requested them and they're on the list). When you don't know when something is coming it gives us the freedom to improve the idea or work on other more pressing things. We don't have time to publicly explain every internal decision regarding a feature and then have you guys also weigh in on that. No. If you have an idea, search it, find what we "announced" about it. If it doesn't exist, request it. If we like it we'll add it to the list. And if someone else requests it.... then I'll tell them we already announced it as a future feature.

I started to write a long reply back, but deleted and started again, because I think in doing so, it could become one of those stupid things that end up becoming an argument or something similar. Which I never intended to start from my original post above, and still don't. So I will just reply to a few things, hopefully keeping it short The first thing (but not first in your reply), which I am extremely confused about, is you say " Stop applying emotion to it". I didn't realize in my post above, I had applied any emotion to it at all. I'm very confused by it, and even more so what part and what emotion I am apparently applying.. ? I'm not sure what you think of me, but it appears as though you think I.. I dunno, I'm some emotional nut case or something. I never thought (or said) you were attacking anyone, I never thought (or said) you were saying anything in a negative way, or anything else bad at all. I was simply saying what I said. Again, I am extremely confused by the whole issue. You mention the search function (which by the way, even had you not said "I don't mean it offensively", I wouldn't have taken it so) several times. Which is absolutely fair, because you guys have done fantastic with the search function for version 5. However, you also have to keep in mind that I, and I am sure many many others are not used to using the search. Why? It's obvious, but here is why. In version 4 and 4.5 the search was/is absolutely terrible, and never brings any results, or it simply crashes all the time. I completely stopped trying to use it, it was just easier to sort alphabetically or something, then go that way. But as I first mentioned, you guys have improved it immensely, but it is still a case of getting used to it. I can understand and appreciate you making threads and people not reading, to be annoying/frustrating. I honestly can. The only threads I remember you guys actually creating though, was for weekly (I think weekly) bug fixes etc (which did include features, yes). I can't recall anything else. Don't you guys think that one thing that could help (which I am sure I have mentioned before, as well as others), is a sticky topic, listing feature requests that have been approved, rejected (for whatever reason - can be done with plugins, or simply it's not something you guys like).

*sigh* I didn't mean your emotion. I meant my emotion. Don't apply my emotions to my post. Read my posts as statements. I think nothing bad of you. You aren't an emotional nutcase (I hope). Though your reply is a bit lengthy. And no. I explained why we won't do a sticky. People don't read. That makes it a waste of time we could use for other stuff. Like making features.

Re-read what you said for the emotion part though. It definitely does not read that way And that is only about a 3rd of what I wrote to begin with haha.

" Stop applying my emotion to the sentence. " If you don't read it like I'm being a rude, then I don't sound like I'm being rude. ♥ ℒʊ√ ♥ got that above. Look at the response that same sentence got before you posted about it. Anyways, we're spending a really long time on this for no real reason. This thread was done as far as I was concerned, and frankly I'm not sure why this was even brought up to begin with.
