Before I do something stupid like delete all of the data in my affiliate plug-in, I wanted to ask...
The simple affiliate table plug-in just got updated to a new version, however I already have the plug-in set up and all of my affiliates are on it. I really do not want to have to redo this, so is there a way to upload the new plug-in without losing all of that data?
I know when you go to delete a plug-in, it asks if you want to delete the plug-in and the data, or just the plug-in. Would you choose just the plug-in, then re-upload the new plug-in version? Would it notice the data is already there and just pull it all in? Thanks for any input!

no you will still need to re-update it since it can't pull information like that yet.
the way I found out how to do this is
you upload the newer version you go into the old plugin and transfer all the stuff you had in the old one into the new then when you get it all done just click delete plugin & data on the old and let the new take over.
step 1 new plugin update plugin > upload > manage
step 2 go to the old plugin in a new tab plugin > manage > copy the information > paste it in new
step 3 check to make sure everything is in the correct space after everything is correct delete the old Plugin and data so the new doesn't collide with the old
hopefully this helps you
