I haven't come across many issues with V5 for a while now since I got used to it but if there is one change that I hate and can't get used to with the new format it's the new list function. It was so much easier the other way. I have a lot of posts in what I call "thread trackers" so I can keep a track of where my characters are and when, and all old lists may be showing okay but the soon as I go to add a new one, it messes up completely. Now I need to go through them all and take out the lists, as it looks messy and not nice at all. One big flaw that I've come across sadly. Edit: I have now changed ALL of my thread trackers - which was in the region of 60 plus posts to blockquote instead of list. I'm shattered. But really I don't need an answer for the "list" tags, just that I thought I'd keep my post here so that you can see that I don't think the new list tags are very user friendly at all unlike how they were on V4. It's okay if you know exactly how many you are going to have on a list, but with thread trackers for stories that my characters are going to be in, there is no way of telling. V4 was so easy to add another bullet point when required... but oh well. Blockquote is looking just as effective.

Hi Mands, Sorry to hear of the troubles. The new way the lists are setup is designed to mimic HTML's way of adding lists to pages as this is more of a standard way of adding lists. Glad to hear that the blockquote is working well for you at the moment, but I'll offer an explanation of the lists in case you ever want to revert to it again in the future: As you may have noticed, the old way of adding:

List item
Is no longer supported for adding lists. This is changed to the following format instead: [ul] [li]List item 1[/li] [/ul]
Which will display as: One of the benefits of the new way the lists work in v5 is the ability to add different ways to order the lists, using bullet points, numbers, letters, roman numerals, etc. This can be done like so: [ol type="upper-roman"] [li]List item 1[/li] [li]List item 2[/li] [li]List item 3[/li] [/ol] Which will produce: - List item 1
- List item 2
- List item 3
It is a little more advanced that does take some getting used to, but we don't expect anyone to remember off the top of their head for the correct tags to use depending on the type of list they want. That's why we have provided a better way to insert lists into posts using the button on the posting page. When you click on that button, you'll be asked how many items you would like to have in the list, and what type of bullet point you would like to lead the list off with. Once you have made your selections, click the "Insert List" button and you will see the list type appear in your message area waiting for you to edit. Hopefully this helps in providing some understanding to the new format anyway, just in case you ever want to add lists to your posts again in the future

I understood how it was working Ricky thanks but that wasn't really the issue. The issue is that you have to list the number of points you want in the list to create it and as I said in my leading post with my thread tracker posts I don't know if they're going to have 3 or 20 stories. Lol For someone like me who isn't code/HTML/CSS savvy, I think I'm better with the block quote. But thanks for the breakdown anyway.
