When you hover your mouse over the smiley it doesn't tell you anymore what it is ? Before the change over you could click on the smiley and it would tell you that it was angry, roll eyes etc etc.... now all you get is dot`s and dashes that does not explain what it is.

Greetings,
I cannot get this function to appear on V4 or V5. Can you confirm exactly what it is you are asking about?

The smileys have an alt attribute in the event they don't load, but they don't seem to have a title attribute for when you hover over them.
At the same time, why not just go to the reply page and refer to the smiley list?

V5 also gives you the option to add custom smileys, which wouldn't have those alternate descriptions. Is it that important? I think most people can convey facial expressions.

Sorry- but I just see it as a step backwards when it worked perfectly well before,... and yes! I actually think it is important when its part of any forum to be able to post emotions as things can be taken the wrong way if the correct emotion is not added.

Upon review we've decided that this will not be changed to how it was in V4. Sorry. You can change the names to whatever you want, however, which should be a good workaround.
