General Plugin Question

I know there is the Award Plug in. I found a site that had that but also another one called 'Character Items". It looked and appeared to act the same way as the Award Plugins. I'm afraid to test it in all honesty (Because I don't know much about all this. I'd rather just ask somebody who knows a lot more then me), can you enter these codes more the once and change the settings on them to both have it?

The plug in (whatever was) did look slightly different then the award plug in. But out side of that, it had a lot of the similar qualities. But, looks can be changed with the editing codes and what not. So, could I enter the plug in more then once? or is there another code out there that is similar or something?

You can add any plugins you want, and you can remove them just as easily. You can also temporarily deactivate plugins, allowing you to deactivate the award one while you check how the character items one works.

So does that mean I could but the awards plugin twice and have them both activated, but edit them so they look different?

The site I saw it on was [here]. I am trying to figure how they did it. But here is an image of what I am talking about:

That is a screenshot of somebody's miniprofile. The 'character items' second is different from the 'awards collection'. It looks completely different. It has different spots in the profile. But it still has the same general idea and few things look the same. So, I was wondering if they entered the awards plugin twice, they both work, but they have different settings and such to act like this.

It is unlikely that two copies of a plugin would work (not sure you can even upload multiple copies of a plugin).

If you have already found two plugins, you can add them both to your forum to see if they do what you want.

Yeah, I didn't know any plugins like the Awards Plugin. But, thank you! I'll try looking around for something similar

It looks like that site has the awards plgin running, as well as a v4.5 version of the awards code running in the global footer

You definitely can have the same plugin uploaded multiple times. Not sure if they would work together though. I assume only one (the top one?) would.. It may also depend on what the plugins do, I guess. Styled names for example, so long as you don't use it for the same names, surely it'd work twice?

I'm going to go test some lol

Depends on the namespace. I use a unique namespace for each plugins, so multiple of the same plugin (of the ones I have written) wouldn't work.
