OK NOW READY SUPPORT - ready to assess - just realised that the title INSIDE a board is (obviously) NOT the Category title.
(Would be nice to have a longer accepted char length in the these posts Subject field - would make for a more precise descriptor )
CMWD V5-2: STATUS - Reported - Verified - Cut Over Change
Applies to BOTH Categories and Boards AND the Page Title html tag that determines browser tab descriptor.
1) URLS (there are numerous that are affected:
a) AdminHome > Structure > Categories and Boards - southernwaoutdoorsbz.freemessageboards.com/admin/structure/category_board
b) Home > - southernwaoutdoorsbz.freemessageboards.com/
c) ADMINISTRATION > Administration - southernwaoutdoorsbz.freemessageboards.com/board/1/administration
2) What happened, in detail?
- in 1) a) above, the Categories are originally shown with the syntax as:
this is in the screen display and in the Name and Display Name fields within the Edit Categories Properties window.
- This causes a number of unexpected results:
(i) The Categories are not shown at the correct Font Size - the above BB code syntax is ignored.
(ii) The breadcrumb shows the BB Code
- Changing the Name field within the Edit Categories Properties window to (for example) ADMINISTRATION that is removing the BB code - results in the Category being correctly displayed in the Breadcrumb, without the BB code being
displayed.
- Changing the Display Name field to the following code:
- results in the BB Code Syntax and parm value being observed and the respective Category being displayed at the correct font size.
Changed + value to 3 = +3 - no change to Category Text Size.
3) What do you think should have happened instead
(i) The BB code syntax should not be displayed around each Category or Board in the AdminHome > Structure > Categories and Boards screen.
(ii) The BB code should not be displayed in the Name field of the Edit Category/Board Properties windows.
(iv) The BB code syntax in the Display Name field of the Edit Category/Board Properties window should show the right syntax.
(v) The breadcrumb shouldn't show any BB code.
4) Can you reproduce this on every pageview? - Yes.
5) What browser, version, and operating system are you using? - IE10 - but also occurred on Google Chrome Version 25.0.1364.172 m, FF, Safari.
6) Please attach a screen shot (JPG or PNG -- not GIF or BMP) if it is relevant - done:
