hi I am using Opera and the personal smilies don't work. They show up in the smiley drop down but when I click on any of them nothing happens. I also have an old version of IE that I prefer not to use but the smilies work fine there. Is there something I can do so they work in Opera?

I'll have a look... It use to work in Opera, so I assume something has changed, either with the PB software or one of Opera's myriad of updates.

Hi Todge...
Help! I cant believe the probs I am having trying to install 'Personal Smilies' on the forum. Am sure you might be able to help.
I am running Win 7 64bit Firefox 26.0
Although no expert I am reasonably clued up with a PC.
I have installed other plugins without a problem.
I followed the installation instructions to the letter but cannot get the 2nd smiley icon with personal smilies and when I go to put in the link whichever one I try just will not work.
Am I doing something wrong or as I am beginning to suspect, will it only work in Win 7, 32bit.
Sorry to trouble you
Cheers
Nigel

I don't see why it shouldn't work on a 64 bit system.
First up, you will not get a second smiley icon, the personal smileys are listed below the pb smileys, so clicking on the normal smiley icon will display the standard smileys plus your extra smileys.
Also, are you seeing the smiley input fields in you profile?

Your members can store their own, personal, emoticons, and use them when creating posts just like any other smiley. You can edit your personal smilies in your profile. If you go to your 'Settings' page you should have a new area where you can add/remove your smilies. PluginCurrent version 1.1.7Direct LinkThis version stores your smilies in a key, but you are restricted to having 25 smilies. We have version 1.9 right now. So I am confused about the current one being 1.1.7? So with that I have a few questions. 1. We want to add the smileys to our Shout Box. I am on the understanding the newest version gives us that? 2. You say you can only have 25 smilies and it takes a key. We have roughly 200 smilies. Or is the 25 smilies the personal ones each user can have, the rest are still available? 3. Just turn the one we have now off then copy the smilie text box over to the new key? Thank you for your help in advance

I am questioning the Smilie Drop Down plugin in the Persinal Smilies thread. That explains the version question. I will move over to the Smilie Drop Down thread, look, then ask questions. Sorry about that.

Nope. Images can't normally be posted in the shoutbox, only the standard pb smilies or extras that you add to them.
I have an idea on how to get them to work in the shoutbox, but as yet, I'm afrakd not.

You click that red X to remove that smiley from your list. So all's good.
