Hi Todge, sorry to be so late responding. I had company all afternoon, so I'm just getting this message. I downloaded the newest version. My earlier one was the same number, but had Beta after the name. So, I turned off the Beta version and downloaded the new one. Then I got this prompt, and I'm not sure what to do?

I don't want you to try another version of the Personal Smilies, I mean the Dropdown Smilie plugin.
Leave your current Personal Smilies plugin as is, disable your current Smilie Dropdown plugin and install the latest version, then paste uoir current smilie array into the new plugin, activate it and see what happens.

Ah, ok, sorry, I misread. I'm sorta tired tonight. But as an aside note, I did notice that my original Personal Smilie plugin has Beta as part of the name but the new one did not. Ok Ok, I'm going, don't throw anything at me and go play with your slinky till I get this all done. lol ETA: OOPS! Wait a minute, Todge, we may be talking apples and oranges. I am using the plugin you made for the old fashioned dropdown, JJ Smilie Dropdown Plugin, I should have said that a long time ago. Sorry.

I am using the plugin you made for the old fashioned dropdown, JJ Smilie Dropdown Plugin, I should have said that a long time ago. Sorry. Yup, I remember that, that's why I'd like you to try the current version to make sure it isn't clashing as your dropdown plugin uses an older system. One of the more frustrating problems I had with the Personal Smilies code was getting it to work with Smilie Dropdown code, and I had to make changes to both in order to make them play nice. If that is the case it will be your Smilie Dropdown plugin that's at fault and will need updating.

Ok, several things here, Todge. First: I was already using the current/latest version of the JJ dropdown smilie plugin, 1.7.5. Second: On the off chance it was corrupt, I downloaded it again and installed it. Turned off the earlier copy, pasted the smilies into the new copy. Third: Same thing is happening in Reply. I have several screen shots. The smilie is showing up in the post. But when the post is entered, I get the square and no smilie. Fourth: A similar thing happens in QR, however, there is no visual input, instead, the link shows, and the square is in a smaller block.

Hi!
I just installed the plugin, and it works alright on the shoutbox. Only problem is in normal posts you need to scroll down instead of view all...
I've seen some previews here that allow you to see all at once-how do you enable that?

The JJ Dropdown plugin uses a different method to add the smileys to the posts, and may not be compatible with the Personal Smileys Plugin.

TodgeTodge I don't know if this is by design but when one hits the quote button to quote a member which comes up in your normal reply area and want to use the smilie drop down only the default smilies appear? That doesn't happen with the normal reply or quick reply when you hit the drop down. When hitting the smilie drop down in the normal reply one gets all 3 smile drop downs as in the default smilies, extra smilies and personal smilies. In the Quick Reply one gets default, and personal smilies with the extra smiles to the right side to use. Not so if you quote a member. It is working fine on my test forum. Could you possibly link me to a to a thread where this is happening? And do you have an account I can look at it with?

Hi Todge, I found a spelling error in the plugin: in "edit profile" - "staff options" The spelling should be "reversible". squid

It's only a little bit wrong....
'Tis fixed, you can either download version 1.1.6 from the link in the opening post of this thread, or wait a day or so for the library to be updated and get it from there.
Thank you.
